THE FUTURE OF COOLING

AN ENERGY-EFFICIENT SOLUTION

With a decreased energy use of 30-50%, Solar Ice thermal cooling technology minimizes reliance on grid power—especially during peak demand when energy is most expensive. Our patented collector and simplified installation makes green energy and cost-savings more accessible than ever.

Unlike traditional photovoltaic solar panels, our technology skips the inefficient step of converting sunlight into electricity to power a chiller. Instead, it uses thermal energy collected directly from the sun to drive a thermochemical refrigeration cycle and dramatically lower electricity consumption.

Proof Of Concept

Cooling a Los Angeles ice rink with the power of Solar Ice technology

PILOT PROGRAM

By successfully cooling an outdoor ice rink—one of the most energy-intensive cooling applications—we've demonstrated the potential of Solar Ice technology across various commercial refrigeration markets, including food storage, industrial refrigeration, and air conditioning.

THE SYSTEM

The Los Angeles pilot project features a 2,500 sq ft solar thermal array, sufficient to reliably chill a 1,500 sq ft outdoor ice surface. This thermally driven system harnesses renewable solar energy to produce chilled fluid, reducing grid dependency with silent operation.

OUR IMPACT

Solar Ice cuts cooling-related energy use by 30% to 50%, decreasing electricity bills and shrinking carbon footprints. By easing the load on conventional compressor systems, it also reduces maintenance needs and extends equipment lifespan to increase cost-savings.
